In 1967, all Art Perrott wanted was a Ski -Doo, plain and simple. Little did he realize that what started, as buying one machine for fun, would turn into a business with over 45 employees.

Certainly things have come a long way since then with Riverside Honda having undergone many changes. Ski-Doo snowmobiles are still a focus of the business during the winter months but wise management has led to a wide diversification into specialized motorized products for both consumers and commercial users with the addition of Honda in 1981.

Since Riverside began selling the Ski-Doo brand of snowmobile, made by Canadian-owned Bombardier Inc., Bombardier itself has diversified into ATV's and the boat and marine market with Sea-Doo personal watercraft, and Jet Boat. We are proud to sell these leading edge, first-rate Canadian-made products that play a large role in our dealership.

Honda was a natural early addition to our line up with dependable, environmentally friendly, quality products; starting with motorcycles such as the luxurious Gold Wing and later the Honda Fourtrax four wheeled all terrain vehicles and the revolutionary Honda Four Stroke marine outboard motor line. The full range of Honda Power Equipment carried by Riverside Honda includes generators, water pumps, rototillers, lawn mowers, tractors, trimmers and snow throwers, as well as general-purpose engines. We have embraced Honda's philosophy of providing the customers with joy and the power of dreams, along with being an environmentally and socially responsible company.

Riverside’s reputation for honest dealings and customer service helped to keep us strong in the bad times and grow in the good times. In May 1995, the old homestead by the Sturgeon River which has been in the family since 1902, finally had to be given up. We opted for larger accommodations further up St. Albert Trail. The spacious building, with better access and parking, provided much needed breathing room for both customers and employees alike.

The company exists to serve the needs of consumers within the market place. At the most basic level without those consumers or ‘customers’ the company has no purpose. It is the ‘customer’ who provides us with the reason to continue to do business. We must never allow ourselves to slip into the pattern of thinking that the customer is there for us. We are here to serve, not the other way around.
